Bought this thinking I might need to return it if it was not in a location getting enough full sunlight every day. This is a review for all you nerds out there that like detail (like me). Okay so the research says you need at least 6 to 8 hours of full sun for solar lights to work properly. I needed to illuminate my house number plaque and due to a large tree and the house angle, it is in a spot where it gets on average, 3.5 hours of full sun every day. I was prepared for the light not to work, but alas, it did! I only squeezed the button ONCE, meaning it is on the lowest setting of brightness when it is triggered to come on at night, and that HELPS. It does not stay brightly lit all night long, but stays illuminated at least 6 hours every night. IF this is in a location receiving a longer duration of sunlight, it would have no issues staying brightly lit the whole night. It is brighter than I expected and looks nice especially from the street.

5 Month Update - they are not staying on more than an hour or so. If you could change the battery these would be perfect. As it is, they are probably too expensive to be disposable after 3 or 4 months or use.These are great - do exactly what they advertise (so far). I like the warmer white rather than the industrial looking cool white. I use them on the lower setting and they are always still on when I go to bed! I purchased a box of 4 from another and like them so I wanted more. I was glad to see this option for the exact same lights but I got 6 for almost the same price. I really like them - considering getting 6 more!

I've tried solar ights for years and they kept coming up short. Though that's partly my fault, as some were not in direct sunlight as instructed. And I'm a perfectionist. I saw the reviews on these and thought I'd give them a try - so glad I did! I cheated again by placing some out of direct light (though not in heavily shaded areas) fully expecting them to fail. They work beautifully! I have all of these lights in the dim position, againnot expecting much. I'm truly amazed at how bright they are and cannot imagine ever needing the higher setting. They're pricier than others on the market, but worth every penny.
